Literature Review resources online

Tufts is often put to shame when it comes to making these sorts of resources easily available: How am I supposed to write this Literature Review for my Thesis? What is a Lit Review? I’m sure there’s some sheet on the topic that was typed on an old IBM and has been photocopied every couple years for the last twenty, but I need it now. Sure, these other schools are bigger than us, but we’re supposed to be a caring, informed, capital-I Institution, yes?

Enough from the peanut gallery, here’s the best few online resources for Lit Reviews I came across:

  • UNC: The most thorough and patient, by far. Includes many subheads for getting set, strategies, and “begin composing.” Great
  • UCSC: Links to some books I can’t find for the life of me, is more succinct than UNC’s and thus comes off a little more professional and rigorous - do your writers have provenance? Better hope so.
  • UW Madison: Bullet points to answer all the big questions (What is this? How do I make it? Why am I a sentient being in this world?)
